Awwwwwwww yeah. We got it; we got our Mainer day, and it was soooooo good! Love knowing the locals. I have a colleague who works at Saddleback (she is one of "Trail to Every Classroom" teachers who teaches in Rangeley) and she answered the phone when I called for a weather (wind) report. She gave me the scoop and told me it was beautiful up there and that I should not miss it. The forecast was for the winds to die down around 11, and she was right. We left here at 10:15 and arrived JUST as the quad began to turn and send people toward the summit. Bright blue sky, warm sun - it was awesome. The lines were longish, but I did not mind them a bit - gave my legs a chance to rest and the double chair was a cozy couples only trip in the sunshine (wind at our backs). We skied nonstop from 11-4 (legs burning) and then headed to the Swig and Smelt Pub for drinks and an app. It was a fantastic day. Pair that with the hike up Little Big on Saturday and I am one happy camper.

Good man, carrying my board and his : )

Good man's new ride. It cost what one payment did on the FJ. It is a killer ski rig - lots of room, boaty, floaty ride, good sound system and just look at that wood.

Making a plan on the summit.

That wind was wicked up there on the top (did not stop us at all though) - felt like a fine sand being blasted in your face. Frozen granular baby. Man the snow was good though - you could really get an edge. Super fun.

Have I said I love Maine lately? Yeah. Sorry. Thought so.
