Panarama

We had the sweetest site this year. Last year, this is the site we loved and coveted from one site over. So stoked when we drove up the forest road and saw it was open. Tried to take a panoramic of the whole thing - from the clothesline to Jim reading...

to the tent and the other site behind our tent. Not sure if you can see it or not, but there is another site in that little opening there in the trees - we were thinking that would be a perfect set-up for Barry and Al next year. You can see the forest road off to the right; there are stairs down to the sites and up to the road.

And this is the perfect part about this site; it is right on the Mill River. So this view is what we looked at while eating, hanging out, reading, talking... And this is where we "swam" - the water was cold, but the days were hot, so it worked.

Killer site for sure. This little waterfall is what we loved most about this site. It blocks out any sound - almost to the point where you swear you can hear something, but you really cant. And a local man who camped in Barry and Al's site for a couple of nights showed us this man-made cave right on the riverside. There is so much water in this part of North Carolina. It is so beautiful.
