Gotta love it.
I am planning a Family Hiking Day (the Appalachian Trail Conservancy is trying to get families out hiking and so have marked the 24th as the day to do it -- they have hikes on the AT advertised on their site) and this photo was taken by a student Outing Club member this past Saturday. I will not be taking families on the AT, but instead have asked my Outing Club kids to lead two different local hikes that day. We offered the hike to the Middle and Elementary school kids and their parents. I have over 50 people (kids and adults) coming to hike this Saturday! Wow. We did a pre-hike on Saturday, are doing another one on Friday and then the big show is this Saturday. Hope it goes well.
Cody got this shot of me while we were on the summit, enjoying the view and the conversation. He is quite a videographer -- and skater -- and makes some sweet videos of his friends skating. (That is skateboarding, not ice skating.) And lately he is getting into stills. He comes in daily to show me his new stuff -- it is really good. Man, do I love to see good photos and do I love it when kids are into something positive.
I am super psyched he is in the club and taking pics. I have asked him to snap a bunch this Saturday -- will try to post.
Wish me luck : ) It feels pretty big!
Love it! Love that he's taking shots, is in the club, and that you're doing this. Because of CGCF and van related appointments we're unable to join your fun. Between this gig and what Kurt pulled off last weekend... I'm feeling pretty good about where we work :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rach -- I love where we work too -- hope for no rain for us!
