Thankfully I have a friend who lives in Byron and gave me the heads up that "up her way" it was close to peak foliage (I am also thankful for her in many other ways -- one of which is the yellow sticky she stuck and taped on my door that reads "Don't Forget - AM Duty" -- she and I share this duty week, on opposite sides of the building). So off I headed - North of Oquossoc -- up into Cupsuptic and onto miles of logging road. The summit was in the clouds, but the woods were beautiful and I only saw one soul. And he was nice -- and single -- to all you single ladies out there that I encourage to go hiking to find your man : ) At least I think he was single, not exactly a question I am asking.
