Fahmers' Market in Mexico, ME

These pics are from early in the season, so these days, our table is pretty full (and lots of things are in the coolers below the table). Things have been picking up and we have had two really good weeks. It's been fun to see people from my childhood and from my professional life at the market. Perfect gig for a teacher. Every Friday, Jimmy and I are there, selling fresh food and maple syrup.

Our market neighbor - a Peruvian - who raises beef. A good man to know. We hit it off instantly and share a lot of laughs. The other two (the boy and his mom) are the next stand over. They sell veggies and seeds. Super sweet; she has already helped us out a lot.

There's the meat man smiling : )

Vin Dixel (Dixie) sucking up the shade on a hot hot hot day at the market.

Loved this moment. These are the grandkids from the other meat man, the one from Bethel - the one who is the, get this, seventh generation to farm the land. He is a Carter, so you know how far back that name goes in the Bethel area.
