A snowshoe alone (with Luna) up White Cap on Tuesday morning before waitressing that night. The summit was quite bare, the sky was beautiful and the views were near, not far. Love that mountain top.
Thankfully I have a new outdoor enthusiast buddy -- that I met through Jim -- she plays on his volleyball team. She called on Thursday night and we made a plan to skin up White Cap on Friday and telemark down. We had a great day -- she is athletic, positive and grateful for the outdoors. Truly a friendship that I already value and that I know will birth many many fun outdoor and active endeavors -- LOVE IT! It is rare that I meet women who are as crazy obsessed and thankful for the outdoors and physical fitness as I am. Man, I am seriously stoked! Already have the birthday plans a-hatching. (PS -- her husband kicks butt too -- super nice and also into the outdoors and its adventures.) Yay!
