Dix and Phoenix in the car after a ski
Black Mountain Day this Year...no snowboarding for me this season - and after a huge snowstorm, that was rough. Thankfully there were a few who wanted to snowshoe, so we found the trail to the summit of Black. And also thankfully, my principal broke trail the whole way. Usually that is me, but again, not this year. I was about as appreciative as I could be. Since I am usually the one in front (aside from when I am out with Alison - we take turns) I KNOW how much work it is. I thanked him profusely.
Mary and Michelle. Michelle has lost almost 75 pounds!! She was a trooper out there, and Mary is always wonderful. It was a pleasure to be out there with these peeps.
We did not quite make the summit (as it was we missed the buses and had to ride back in Mike's truck) but we were sure close. Next time.

Birthday Weekend Make-Up - Jim and I skied for two hours on Saturday. It was so good to be out on a warm day - it actually rained on us near the tail end of the ski. Spring is on the way - although you wouldn't know it right now. It's 9 degrees with a screaming wind.
Tomorrow - off to Sugarloaf for AMOC (Association of Maine Outing Clubs) conference. Looking forward to that - gotta love heading NORTH to go to "work".
