We ran up Sugaroaf -- wahoo! We power-hiked the steeps but ran all the ATV trail. And tomorrow I hike with Dixie and Jack (Al's dog) in the morning and then Al and I are going shopping in Augusta and out to dinner. Sooooo looking forward to it all. Jimmy and I just cleaned the house, so THAT is done for the week and the bourbon is clinking with the cider and ice and I am a happy camper.
Even though my first shot is the wind project in Roxbury, I will soon become less obsessed, less disappointed and I will not ALWAYS post wind project pictures. Promise. It is just so jarring.
Running down the ATV trail. We ran a lot of the way - both up and down.
6 seems to be my magic number -- had 6 for speed work (hill sprints by the mill in town), had 6 for soccer the other day...had 6 this afternoon.
These two are pretty fit kids. The one who is visibly in orange is a machine on a mountain bike (he is the one who did the Trek Across Maine last year as a frosh) and he absolutely loves mountain biking -- and you know I love that. The other, less orange, is the prettiest kid on skis I have ever seen in the east -- seriously, he looks like he was born on them. At Black Mountain Day I was in awe of him -- he is the one with Western Roots, with a dad from ID and parents who met in WY. He comes from seriously good people (my dad was his mom's principal in high school) and his dad was my male chaperone on TWO overnights last year -- like I said, good people. Great kids.
Glad your day ended well. Ice is clinking here as well...
ReplyDeleteAnd I think that was his second Trek, at least... they are all quite something, absolutely. As are their fearless leaders...
