The old Canon has been acting sketchy and this ski seemed to send it into the grave. I got a few good shots (two are here and a some are not) and some highly pixelated video of the dogs running while I ski. And now I have a new camera and already, I am in love. Birthday is in just a few weeks, so I justified it as a gift to myself. Certainly enjoy taking photos of all the amazing places I put (and find) myself and know I will get good use out of it. Heading out today to have some fun with the camera -- on my legs and lungs.

Vacation Kick-Off
Friday was a warm day. Wicked warm. A little too warm for a winter lover. I am a winter lover, but I am not crazy. The days when the air is warm like it was on Thursday and Friday of last week and there is snow to slide on are so few. I got home, changed for skiing, packed my headlamp in my pack, grabbed the dogs and headed to Industry. I skied from 4 to 6 and was rewarded with this amazing sunset. Mount Blue stood in the coral sky and the trees provided a perfect screen through which to look. The dogs and I loved it. I skied a new-to-me trail and man, did I make a find. Beautiful. The land that is posted for snowmobile only -- no ATVs -- tends to be sweeter, more farmy, less hammered upon -- and much of the trail was just that.
