Just Last Week?

Whoa. Just last week I took this photo on the Blue Ridge Parkway in VA -- on Saturday to be exact -- not this past week, the week of "back to work" but the week before this past week. Already weeks have passed and already it feels as though we did not have a vacation. It amazes me how quickly I am back into the swing of school. I took Monday off for a flex day (one you can connect to a weekend, a vacation, whatever, no questions asked) and I went for an incredible hike alone, well with Luna, in the morning. There is still snow up there.

So many more pics to post and things to say, but absolutely no time for that. Starting to bike WITH KIDS this afternoon. I am so happy about that -- I think I will have at least 5 -- maybe more. Getting those guys and girls mountain biking -- why not? Our school has something like 30 NICE mountain bikes thanks to an incredible grant and grant writer. Treks and Gary Fischers (spelling?) -- we are going to have some fun. What a perfect activity before waitressing!

One of our killer campsites -- this one was FREE -- in NC. Mills River to my left, Luna to my right, book in hand -- I was so content. It was one of my favorite moments. Perfect sweatshirt weather, sounds of the river, trees budding, legs worked after biking. Awesome.
