A little Saturday afternoon hike with Luna. Sure was pretty. But man, do we need some snow. There is some snow in the woods, but the snowmobile trails are bare and nasty -- crusty and dirty. But on a clear day, the sky is still blue, the Whites are covered and the trail is still there. Nothing to really complain about.
Saddleback in the distance (white-capped) -- Mt. Blue on the right.
Tumbledown on the left. Little Jackson in the middle (snowy) and the start of Big Jackson on the right. Webb Lake at the foot of the mountains. One of my students has been pulling some big, beuatiful fish from the Lake -- I wish I could remember the species and size -- he shows me pictures of them and they are something -- big brook trout and a fresh-water salmon, I think.
